hey lildre, for a thorough review of videomodes for the PS3, read the 14th post in this thread:
[Please register to see this link. ] Now specific to you, you have installed on an HDTV in graphical mode, and now want to downgrade to a SDTV. Therefore, you need to: 1. edit kboot.conf in the /etc folder and replace the line default=ydl or whatever it says with default=ydl480i 2. edit xorg.conf in the /etc/X11 folder as per the above thread To get there, when you next boot up and it gets to the kboot prompt and pauses for a few seconds, hit the TAB key until you see ydl480i and then hit ENTER. login as normal. to make changes permanent, open up a terminal window in YDL and: to get into root control Quote:
