I've been unable to play movies that have a resolution of 720p or higher in ydl. Has anyone had any success at this? I've tried vlc and mplayer but still can't get them to play. I've read about people being able to do it in Gentoo but haven't seen much when it comes to YDL. Any information someone can provide would greatly be appreciated, thanks.

I haven't had any success with playing HD content either. I don't know if it's my setup or YDL, but my video isn't all that great. (It plays ok, and stretches when I fullscreen it, which is nice) I'm using VLC, which took forever to get working and now the sound cuts out every 10 mins or so and i have to hit pause/play so the sound comes back. I'm thinking about trying my luck with Gentoo, from what I can tell, it appears to be faster right now.
