Default Help , noob tried to install YLD and f**ked ps3 os

hi guys , im new to this forum , i have a problem , i installed YLD 5 on my ps3 , allocating it 10Gb on the HDD ( total 60GB) . everything ran ok , since i realised it kept asking me some root password i didnt even heard before , so i want to remove it now . I did a full system restore , i stayed 4 hours until 2 am , no result , the YLD was still installed . Also i cant turn on my ps3 from the wireless controlled ? why , why ?? . I pretty f***ed up my ps3 , now i am doing a full format using all Hdd space for ps3 os . please help !

Have you held down the power button until it beeps a second time so that it will boot into the GameOS? The powering on with the controller only works when the last os used was the game os. In linux you can also use the ps3-boot-game-os command which will reboot into the ps3 game os.

Also if you boot into the Other OS after you full format and you see the 2 peguins at the top that does not mean YDL is still installed. That is the boot loader which loads the YDL install. It is put into the onboard system memory not on the HDD whick means it cannot be erased.
