I would suggest to install [Please register to see this link. ] rpm. Kills all the trouble you would have to go through to install a repo. After that install yum-protect base to protect your core repos from any changes from the fedora extras repo.
Code:
su password: yum install yum-protectbase

Result :

Repository fedora-extras is listed more than once in the configuration

I think there has been a mix up of repos. You are going to have to reinstall. Sorry. You can't fix this once it has happened. But hey when you have a fresh install you can just install the rpm I linked you to and yumex should install cleanly.

OK.
Maybe one solution can be that :
1- I uninstall YUMEX (not working) -> do you have the command line ? 'uninstall YUMEX' ?
2- I get rid of all the repos in the repos folder
3- I change the YUM.conf file, but for that one I need an example
4- I reinstall the repos using your .rpm

Should be working. I'll just have to figure out how does this stuff work...
(YUM.conf -> repos)
But i'll find sth on the internet i guess

thanx again

If you want to uninstall you would use:
Code:
su password: yum erase yumex
Also the repos are located in the /etc/yum/repo.d file.

Give it a shot. Maybe it will work. Let me ask you this though: Have you updated the system?

No prob you just need a more clear understanding of how linux works. I was new to linux just 2 months ago and now I know almost all about it. I love it.
