Can't get my theme right?

Ok so this is prob a stupid question. Last night I got yellow dog working great with E17. The standard theme was Bling with these really cool blue cursors and blue menu highlights. Well I was playing with the themes and changed it to something else. When I switched back to Bling the cursor and menu was gold and all my destop items disappeared. Now I'm sure I can get it right again but I'm at work so I can't tinker with it. Can you tell me the right track to follow so I won't waste my time when I get home?

Try this:

Log on and when you are on the desktop hold alt and left click and hold on the desktop. Now while holding the mouse button move it around. You should see your wallpaper moving around. I did this and found my home, computer, and trash files.
