I wanted to use the PS3 as a full media center, with internet browsing etc...

anyway, if i can't find a solution, i wont install YDL when i'll change the HD in a couple of weeks..

Well it wouldn't be able to play HD movies anyways without some help either from the RSX video card (which is disabled by the hypervisor) or from the SPU's which are very very fast and programmable in linux. Only if someone could write up a program to have the SPU's act as OpenGL renderers.

In fact when i'm speaking about HD, i mean HardDrive !

I need linux for :
Internet Browsing
Reading PDFs, Words and that kinda stuff
Listening to MP3s via smthing more efficient than the XMB player (XMMS 4 instance)

So i relly need to make internet work via RJ45 wire !!

no prob, there was a mistake
it is RJ45 = a network wire
(maybe a french norm)

Solved !
I rebuilt the ifcfg-eth0 file after deleting the wifi config

then restarted the network and it works
