how to install ydl ps3 1.6 - PS3Hax

hello...

sorry for my english but i'm french...

i would like install ydl with my ps3 euro with firmware 1.6...but i have some error in install

i said "udf-sf not found, lease fail, VRS not found, ....dev/sr0:/ppc/ppc64/vmlinux-ps3: not found"

i need help please...thank you

That's sounds and looks like the same problem I have. I found a compatible(i think since it allows me to type after displaying kboot) keyboard and mouse but after it displays kboot it just waits for a second then displays a list of code about 5 lines and then my TV just turns blue but the PS3 is still powered on.

WTF is going on anyway? I really didn't think it would be this difficult to install YDL.

Worked perfect for me atleast. Did you guys follow the guides to the point?
ex: burn at 1x speed and connected mouse/keyboard ....

So far i've tried 2 different ISOs(Blackcats-games.net, Haxen provided link), 2 different DVD burning programs(DVD Decrypter, CDBurner XP Pro 3), 3 different speeds (1X, 8X, 16X) and ALL have given me the same error/issue.

It always displays that it cannot find the VSR about 4 times, then it says something about a memlock with code after it on 5 or 6 lines, then it says it's clearing data and my TV(SD TV) goes to a blue screen and nothing happens.

I just about given up on installing Linux...and I really don't want to. But if I can't get it installed even after reading 3 tutorials on how to do it and reading about the errors and their "solutions" on 3 different sites...I get a bit disheartened.

So if anyone can give me some other suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

try buying a new dvd

But have you tried another media?

I had a problem with Budget-DVD but Verbatim worked fine.

that is what i said, i had problems with my old dvds then i bought new ones and it works perfectly now.
