OK, let's get a take on which Linux is taking hold for the PS3?

Fedora Core 5 is compatible with Ps3?

Well, FC5 has been successfully loaded on PS3. I think iit has a very deep repository of compiled apps, so its a good one. YDL 5.0 has more "official" support, and may be ahead on access to PS3 specifics. I am YDL 5.0 for now.

INSTALLED FC 6 but it was so slow on PS3

Had YDL for a year, just switched to UBUNTU 7.10 and LOVIN IT!! Much easier to work with and better software preinstalled!!

i want to use my ps3 like a pc... use word and install programs... i also want to make it as easy as possible because my ps3 already has enough problems... it looks like the main contenders are fedora ubuntu and yellow dog... opinions?

No need for wifi here, Nat type 2 wired connection

but there is a wifi icon on the top of the gnome toolbar, doesn't look hard to setup.
