YDL on a non-HD monitor

Hey guys, <1st post>

I haven't got a ps3 yet, can't wait for the uk release date. I know that YDL needs an HD monitor for the GUI installation, I was wondering if the resolution when just using YDL with a non-HD monitor is limited to a really small one.
