Default 195 Updates

what can I install and what shouldnt I install..? I dont want to put anything on there that's gonna lock up the system. Thanks in advance.

install on what, linux? what type of linux are you running? nothing you install can really hurt the system, you can easily recover and re-install or remove linux and it wont affect your PS3 game OS.

Well i finally decided to go with ubuntu.. and I probably should of researched before asking lol.. I was just worried that if I installed some updates that it would lock up the ps3.

Noooo, Ubuntu is pretty smooth. You can remove whatever you put in pretty easily without harming anything. Install to your hearts delight but install with the 10gb cap limit in mind, unless you have an external hard drive like me . Use the synaptic package manager and search for software that you might want to use.

yeah thanks for the heads up.. i have an external 500gb.. i use to be a d/l junkie lol Im sure im going to have a lot of questions until i get the hang of it. prime are you on psu.com? name looks familiar..
