VLC Player - How to Install on PS3

Meh, I am not very smart!!!

I get all the way through until I install the RPM for the client itself, the last thing and when I try to install it I get a error.

Error downloading headers. Failure rpms/arts -1.5.5-01.fc5.ppc.rpm from updates.

Anyone know why by any chance?

EDIT: Ok I got it installed, but the sound is screwed, but I don't think its the program, I don't think the sound device in the PS3 is working with Linux very well, anyone have an idea?

You gotta log in as root. So in the login screen, instead of typing in your username, type in "root" followed by the password you set up during setup. It's the same password you use when logging in under your username. You might need to log into the GNOME. To do this, before you type in "root"/"password", click the "Session" button on the bottom left hand corner and select GNOME.

Yeah, i found out. at first i was doing one step at a time and then i looked at the second one which said that you have to be logged on as root, i would have it installed but i cant get internet when it is in linux. b/c i have wireless.

i install vlc already but there is no gui for it...previously i install one from livna which is 0.84a....now i removed tat rpm and now vlc is only able to run command base which i am not sure of how to use...
