YDL v5.0.2 - How to install w/ a HDTV

It's been a while since the start of this post and I've read through the whole post but it is still unclear.

Is YDL compatible with the 60Gb PS3 now?

Also I know with 'Black Rhino' on the PS2 you needed to hold down buttons so the resolution would work with a normal non-HD TV, do you still have to do this?

What Are The benefits of having yellow Dog Linux Installed, Im Thinking of Installing it But at the moment i dont see the point.And Does Anybody know where to get cheap 250gig Hardrives for the ps3 so eventually i can backup my games on to the internal hardrive.
Oh And i live in Australia (WA) So if you know any shops for hardrives Please let us know... Thanks

Late reply, but YDL is compatible with the 60Gb and wireless doesn't work after the 2.0 firmware update. It was working for a couple of weeks there There are specific instructions for a text based install on standard TVs, you can also hold down Alt to move menus around if you would like to run the graphical installer. Running ps3videomode will allow you to change to resolution after install and editing kboot.conf will make these permanent. If you don't see the point, don't install it. You'll never use it unless your interested. linux..is..supported,..you..can..remove..it,...wir ed..connections..work..fine. -Sheesh! For some reason I can't skip lines, sorry for the unreadable post!

Hi all!
The linux setup will format the hdd in ps3, thats mean all of my game demos and save games will lost? Or it will just resize the gameos partition and format the rest of the hdd for the linux?
