If you are going to copy the movie to the PS3 HDD then do it on a regular PC then transfer it to the ps3 via USB flash drive or something else. Also do it in a readable format that the ps3 can detect.

He told that there is no disks that can't be hacked. I understand that to produce pirate copys of PS3 games you should have a small factory with special equipment. Nope. Nothing. Nada. Rien. That is so expected that they would delay any ISO loader later when they get the crowds hopes up. Also to my knowledge there is no way of hacking the PS3 as of yet.

I keep hearing that they have an inner ring that has some kind of firmware or something that tells the reader not to let the person copy it.
But there is a flaw. You can't copy the whole disk on Windows, but you can dump it as an ISO on linux which the Disc wasn't made to run in. Linux just reads it as a regular disk with files on it. The problem is that it won't work unless you HAVE an ISO Loader. That is pretty smart discovering that while there is no way to load the ISO.

Don't say such a thing. Sure the Xbox has been partially hacked but it still can't make up for it's crappy games (viva pinata for a good example). And yea I am a little mad that sony is releasing games that it promised people 2 years ago right now. It is one tough cookie to hack.
The rings seem to be specially made with something. I think the chinese will have a tough time with it though. Looks like sony has taken extra precausions against pirating.
If will be hard to do but it is possible to make a gaming computer that is more powerful in 3D and Video. If you use the most advanced stuff there is right now like the Intel Extreme Quad Core and the Nvidia Ultra cards plus a myriad or other stuff then you could just buy the game for PC instead of having to spend 10 extra dollars on a PS3 game. It will cost you about at least $5000 to do it though. Me and my friend were thinking about doing one but then we saw the price of everything and just thought of making a helicopter that was controlled by the PS3 Sixaxis controller over an on-board Gumstix computer running Linux.

I am in mechanical drafting right now so I get to work with high end stuff too like 3D modelers, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD and other stuff like that. Next year I am going to be in engineering.

Yea it would cost more,alot more. The technology that is in the PS3 is very highend and they expect to make a profit with selling more than they spent on it. The Cell Broadband Engine R&D alone took up $400,000,000,000. It is just a marketing technique to sell an item that would usually cost alot thinking that if they sell less more people would buy.

I've chose 0, because I didn't no wich number should I enter. You told me that 0 is auto mode. Then, I've made this: gedit /etc/inittab. Then I've changed id:3:initdefault:

lol you should have chose 3 for 720p. 0 only works if in ps3 video mode to test out with video modes work on your TV and ps3 video mode works when you have YDL installed and it is in text mode. I don't remember telling you to use 0. You need to reinstall and use the 720p . At the kboot tab through and search for ps3_install_720p instead of installing in text mode. If you do that, you won't need to change the yaboot.conf. It does that for you.
