Electronic Arts has decided to appease gamers and extend the online mutiplayer portion of the [Please register to see this link. ] PS3 and Xbox 360 demo until February 15. EA had previously indicated that it would be pulling the plug on multiplayer as of February 1 “in order to enable the best possible experience for gamers who have purchased Burnout Paradise.” This was an attempt on EA’s part to get gamers to purchase the full game I am sure, but recently an EA spokesperson stated that they will instead extend online play for another two weeks:
“As you may know, Burnout Paradise is built to provide the ultimate in freedom and discovery online and offline. The demo did a terrific job of providing players a taste of that. Seeing how the social online multiplayer gameplay is such a huge part of Burnout Paradise, we’ve decided to keep the multiplayer demo functionality on for a bit longer,” the spokesperson said.
So if you have not purchased the game yet, you now have a bot longer to decide whether or not it is something you wish to spend your hard earned cash on.
