Tip: Charging Controller while Playing

So I was playing SOCOM on my ps3 today and my controller battery charge flashes on screen as LOW. I don't want to quit playing and i don't want to be so close to ps3 with that tiny usb charging cable so .....

i just happen to have my laptop on the sofa besides me (6 feet away from ps3 and LCD tv) so i plug in the controller to a usb port on laptop and keep playing and the damn thing is charging fine. enuff said. peace.

I routinely charge my controller off of my cable TV box when my PS3 is off.

But yeah, you can pretty much charge them off of most devices with USB ports.

ya, but only bad part about chargin it while your using it is that its hard to use the sixaxis feature on ceratain games. On Resistance its hard to shake, and on basketball games free throw shootin is hard.

i sit near the TV anyway... i dunno why but the USB cable i got is bigger than my m8s its about 1meter big and i brought this brand new.... well i think the wire i use is offical im not sure i hv about 5 of these lieing around but hay!!!

I use a USB extender which goes across my living room. to charge it wile my ps3 is off, I just plug it into my computer!!

How long is the cable?

If ur asking me, im not too sure, just get a 12ft extender or something, it all depends on how big your living room is. or as H.axen says, use a laptop ur somthing.
