PS3 hardware modifications - PS3Hax

Hi. Just installed YDL 6.0 on my PS3. The low memory ammount of the console makes me mad... I tought that i order larger XDR ram chip from japan or somethin and solder it on my console.. Any toughts regarding to this operation ? Is it possible ? Games workin after it ? Seriously we have to come up with a proper idea to increase the linux performance with this superhypermegacellmonster computer...

bigger drive will just give more space

it will not make it any faster

I believe he is talking about ram not hdd space. The term memory means RAM!!!

Maybe somebody can help me. I'm new to Linux and I recently Installed YDL 6 on my ps3. I'm trying to adjust the resolution setttings cause it looks pretty bad, i can barely read the letters. I've tried a lot of stuff but nothing works for me.

I'm using the gnome desktop, i've tried enlighten too. The comand ps3videomode as well as ps3-video-mode does not work. I've tried it on the text mode (alt +ctrl+f1) with no results. How and what should i do?

My tv is a 32" lcd 1080i, i'm using hdmi cables. The console is setup for 1080i.
