yum problem in fedora core 5

Hello,
i installed fedora core 5 on my ps3 and i am stucked to a yum problem that i cannot solve. I first configured yum to freshrpms (yum searches both core and fresh rpms) and then tried to install some software (vlc, xine, yumex) but it did'nt installed and responded as "unable to find some dependencies" then i also configured it to livna again it gave the message that it cannot find some dependencies. I know the incompatibility issue about livna and freshrpms. Do I have to configure yum just for one site? if so how can i do it just for one site? if not what is the problem with yum? If yum does not install anything for what reason we'll use it

yes, you want to config so that you connect to several update repositories at the same time, make sure you are using the PPC versions of any update sites, which these are. report back.
