well my ps3 won't play games. it will play movies but not games??

Could You be more specific?
Are You using the newest firmware 2.36 and is your network connection ok?

i had to buy a new ps3 coz my old one didn't play ps3 games. was a 60g one and played ps1, ps2 games, dvds, blu ray movies and cds. just not ps3 games. was ragin!!!

If You have a your network connection working and you have managed to update the firmware everything should work fine.. if it doesn't .. it's broken and you should just return the product...

I just repalced my laser when it did that and it started working, it is a typical sony product, this is how they boost console sales, LOL
