ps3 Demonstration Mode 2.35

I have a Ps3 demonstration mode 2.35 unit, everything works great gaming, video, blue ray, web browser, etc. But the one thing I can't get working is the game patches example. Guitar Hero III: legends of Rock. It tells me there is a patch to 1.01 it downloads all 13mb of it but will not patch gets to 100% and get 80029564 - unable to install error. I get that on ALL games that have a patch when trying to update them. the NAT status of my ps3 is NAT2, have done all the fixes I have found so far, Format, router forward, DMZ, hard line instead of wireless, even hooked up strait to cable modem with no luck. Any one else having this same problem with the demonstration units?

That is one of the problems with the demo units. You can't install linux on it either.

Really Some people said that they couldn't do it. Hmmmm. So updating you games is your only problem the huh?

Yea, my game updates are only problem. System updates fine, games play good except for online due to not patching. I have not seen anyone else with a demo unit post anything about them having problems with games patching so thought I would ask.

Looks like your out of luck. Can I ask where you got the demo unit from?

Ebay, was a broken unit so I fixed it for the most part...

You should sell it and get a retail one then if you wana play online.

I have a demo unit it's o 1.0 whats the code you have used for the 2.35. i can't play any of the newer games to i upgrade to 1.8 or higher it said for 1.0 you do not need a code. and also have you heard any way to remove it for ever
