PS3 and Modded Xbox
I'm getting my PS3 today as soon as this lady comes and buys this 360 off me (I won't get into how much I hate it). I'm definitely going to install linux on it, might be the first thing I do. I'm fairly comfortable with linux. So here's the situation:
I've softmodded my Xbox and it has a 200GB hard drive, I use it as a media center. No big deal. I'm currently running Kanotix on my desktop (have a few other distros as well) and OSX on my Macbook. All three can see each other, all is great.
My questions are:
Has anyone connected their PS3 to their modded xbox (XBMC) and has been able to stream movies (re: divx/xvid) from the xbox? Also, when I set up bittorrent, it would be cool if if I could download the content directly to the xbox, bypassing the meager 10 GB I'm going to allot for linux.
and lastly, I'm turning my desktop to a mythtv box. I was wondering if anyone has installed a myth tv front-end on a PS3 with the back-end on a computer on their network? I'm just trying to figure out the best path so my efforts aren't moot ones. Unfortunately, GOD did not make all Linux distros equally.
