I don't want to make competition but i have rewrited the tuto... this one is not complete and have some errors. And for the LONG LONG command, i've write a better way (very shorter) to do it.
And i forgot the most interesting thing, i've put links to download the good Kboot and Fedora 8 PPC
Here is my thread with almost the same text but with some corrections and PLUS how to mount your blue-ray at the end
manage to get as far as rebooting with mine tried a couple of hard reboots all i get is a blank black screen if i press ctrl alt del it will reboot and give me the kboot prompt for about 15 seconds then it vanishes even after i type in linux rescue to try and change the settings someone help lol
I have followed this tutorial to a T and when i get to the "make oldconfig" part of the tutorial in section 4b, I am asked at least 50+ questions on recompiling the kernel and i dont know what the proper answers are, any help is appreciated.
EDIT: old problem solved itself, new problem has risen. I'm trying to fetch-pack from git://www.jdl.com/software/dtc.git but the connection is being reset by peer. If I browse that site, I end up in a folder without my connection being reset.
I browsed the site a little further, found out there's a new link to download the dtc: git.jdl.com/... instead of [Please register to see this link. ]... Great, if it worked... Again, connection reset by peer.
I've solved this myself. I looked up dtc.git on google and ended up on osdir.com.
On this site, I found the dtc I wanted. It's only avaible trough the git daemon, the URL is git://ozlabs.org/srv/projects/dtc/dtc.git
For those of you who'd like to see the exact webpage where I found this: [Please register to see this link. ]
Now, I got stuck at su -c "make modules_install && make install"
Apperently, the dtc option in "make install" is set to 'b' which is an invalid option. How do I change this part of the script?
P.S. I'm using Fedora 9, not 8. But the tutorial worked so far.

Try Linux rescue, as mentioned in the tutorial.
