I have constructed an rpm of the newest build of the PS3 kernel currently being developed by Sony. I have it working with FC6 but it should work with FC5 and YDL. You can download it here:

You will need to manually specify the new kernel filename in /etc/kboot.conf

You will also probably need to make a new initrd. Let me know how you get on.
