Noooo, Ubuntu is pretty smooth. You can remove whatever you put in pretty easily without harming anything. Install to your hearts delight but install with the 10gb cap limit in mind, unless you have an external hard drive like me
. Use the synaptic package manager and search for software that you might want to use.
