No significant cpu speedup?
So no significant cpu speedups over Fedora 7 except a faster startup? And still issues with the screen sizing? I suspected that. It sounds like only the linux newbs are impressed with this, newbs aren't very informative. Also the glib 2.5 reported for this is 1 or 2 versions below what's current, so I suspect there would still be software compatibility problems the ydl 5 is famous for. I'm using this mainly for game emulators including sdlmame which i'm hoping for better cpu support for, apparently this ydl offers no such improvement. I also put alot of time into upgrading fedora 7 and the theme is nicer while ydl took so long with this release. Not having wireless isn't an issue for me either because I use analog wired controllers. Thanks for the info, oobuk and ykpaiha, that will save me the trouble and I'm sticking to Fedora 7.
