You are correct! I tested VLC in gnome and now i can use full screen and go back to normal size without any problem. Although MPlayer do not work at all (it starts up fine but when i drag a movie to it nothing happens and it freezes) now in Gnome.
Also i do get this "no /Dev/PMU device found" message but a little search shows there is no way to remove this but to press the ok button.

Btw, where (which file)) is the best place to put my mount line ? like the autostart.bat file in win

Still the movie does not play as good as my XBOX+XBMC. There are some lines/slowdowns while watching. Hopefully with more optimized codec/player etc one day it will play perfectly.
Also i like Gnome a bit more. A bit easier to use with creating links and such.
